All submitted manuscripts to the UTMS Journal of Economics should contain original research not previously published and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Publishing in the UTMS Journal of Economics is free of charge for authors. One hard copy of UTMS Journal of Economics is gratis for author of published paper.

1. Manuscripts must be written in English, in a concise manner because the value of the paper will be considered relative to its length.
Research Limitations and the Necessity of Reporting Them. The limitations of the study are those characteristics of design or methodology that impacted or influenced the interpretation of the findings from your research. They are the constraints on generalizability, applications to practice, and/or utility of findings that are the result of the ways in which you initially chose to design the study and/or the method used to establish internal and external validity.
2. Submission of a paper implies that it contains original work that has not previously been published (except in the form of an abstract or as an electronic preprint) and that has not being submitted for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere including electronically in the same form, in any other language, without the written consent of the copyright-holder.
All papers before publishing are checked by web-based service, which enables to the Editorial office of UTMS Journal of Economics managing the process of submitting and tracking papers electronically. The primary purpose of this service is originality checking and plagiarism prevention.
3. Authors must send cover letter also, which contain the title of the paper and the detailed authorship information, specifying the corresponding author and also explaining why we should publish the manuscript emphasizing the novelty elements and why the paper represents a gain for the scientific community. The letter should also contain a declaration about the status of the paper as it is explained above at the paragraph 2. Cover Letter: Example
4. Authors should include JEL (Journal of Economic Literature) classification code with manuscript during submission. Please provide the JEL codes. If you have any question regarding JEL classification codes, please visit the following website: www.aeaweb.org/jel/guide/jel.php
5. All submissions must be accompanied by abstracts of the authors manuscripts on related subjects that are in press or under editorial review. Papers are subjects to the blind peer review at least by two independent referees in one of the following categories: Original scientific papers, Preliminary communications and Reviews. Papers without positive classification of the referees will not be published in the UTMS Journal of Economics. Sample of Review Form.
6. Manuscripts (text with all supplements) must be written in the English language (Latin letters, English alphabet) using Microsoft Word (*.doc or *.docx). The scope of the submitted text should not exceed more than 30.000 characters of main text—references are not included or we accept maximum of 15 pages.
7. Text should be written in neuter gender, concisely and in correct orthography. The author is responsible for language-edit. Emphasis should be on results, their interpretations and conclusions, and for already known data, experimental methods and apparatus, sources should be mentioned.
8. Font: text—Times New Roman (no bold), size 10; abstract—Times New Roman, size 8. Line spacing—single; Spacing before: 0, Spacing after: 0; Use A4 Format (297x210 mm). Page Setup: Margins: top 5 cm, bottom 5 cm, left 4.4 cm, right 4.2 cm, gutter 0 cm. Layout: header 4 cm, footer 4 cm. Paragraph: special—first line 0.5 cm. Single space between words. Manuscript do not contain page brake.
9. Manuscript should be arranged in the following order of presentation:
9.1. Author’s name (the name and surname of all authors)—their titles, name and full addresses of their institutions, full postal address and e-mail address.
9.2. Title of the paper should be concise and informative—maximum 100 characters with spaces. Titles are often used in information-retrieval systems. Avoid abbreviations and formulae where possible.
9.3. All papers should start with the abstract—between 150 and 200 words. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the principal results and major conclusions. Author(s) should briefly explain why their research topic is worthy of study. An abstract is often presented separately from the article, so it must be able to stand alone. Non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided, but if essential they must be defined at their first mention in the abstract itself. Abstract and conclusion must not contain any bullets or numbering in front of paragraph.
9.4. Immediately after the abstract, provide a maximum of 5 keywords, but be consistent, and avoiding general and plural terms and multiple concepts (avoid, for example, "and", "of"). Be sparing with abbreviations: only abbreviations firmly established in the field may be eligible. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes. There is no point repeating words that are in the title.
9.5. The article must be clearly defined and numbered sections and subsections: (1. ARIAL-B 9pt; 2. ARIAL-B 9pt; 2.1. Arial-B 9pt; 2.1.1. Arial 9pt; 2.1.2. Arial 9pt ...)—the abstract, introduction, conclusion and references are not included in section numbering. Do not use automatic styles for headings. 9.6. Formulas and equations in text should be given separate numbering: (1); (2); ..., etc. Tables and figures: orientation (portrait or landcape)—must not exceed set margins; background—must be blank. Similarly for tables and figures: Table 1. ... ; Figure 1. ... etc. Example
10. The author should follow Chicago Style (author-date system) for referencing—Citation in text. Every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list—and vice versa. Unpublished results, encyclopedias, dictionaries, legislation and web addresses without the other elements can not be in the reference list, but may be mentioned in the text. Do not use automatic insertation of Citations & Biliography, edit references manually. References: Example
11. References are not numbered, but they are sort by alphabetical order.
12. The references used should be updated—citations from Master Journal List of Thomson Reuters is a must, at least 10 (not older than 10 years); you can check journal title on http://science.thomsonreuters.com/mjl/
13. The overview should be broad and the list of literature should include dozens of sources. Please check all references against their original sources.
14. The editor reserve right to return to authors, without peer review, improperly formatted manuscripts.
